IFAT 2026: FAUN showcases connected solutions for greater safety, efficiency, and sustainability

Osterholz-Scharmbeck/Munich, 13.04.2026 (PresseBox) - From May 4 to 7, 2026, we will be exhibiting at IFAT in Munich. The focus is on solutions that make everyday work noticeably safer and more efficient. Safety is our top priority and forms the foundation of all our developments.

With the Future Truck 2.0, we present the next generation of our vehicle concepts. A new user experience control concept and a redesigned widescreen display ensure clear, structured operation while reducing complexity in the cab. Information is provided in a targeted and situationspecific manner.

A key component is the FAUN AI Cube. This powerful platform processes data from cameras and vehicle systems in real time and actively supports safety-critical operations. Functions such as working area monitoring, automatic detection of people and objects, as well as turning and reversing assistance are seamlessly integrated, resulting in a significantly higher level of safety. At the same time, operators are relieved as many processes run automatically in the background.

With the FAUN Shared Screen, we deliberately reduce the number of separate displays in the cab. The large-format widescreen design consolidates all relevant information into a central display, improving visibility, ergonomics, and focus. At the same time, it creates a clear integration platform for third-party solutions, such as those from Visy, DeepScan, Welvaarts, C-Trace, or MOBA.

The FAUN Smart Hopper Control (SHC) brings additional intelligence to the rear of the vehicle. Camera data and sensor signals are combined to detect operating conditions and automatically optimize processes. Fill levels are monitored, containers are identified, and compaction processes are adaptively controlled. In addition, integrated hazard zone detection enhances safety in daily operations.

Another focus is FAUN?s new fire protection concept. Gas detectors and thermal imaging cameras enable early detection of smoldering fires and fire development. The control system responds automatically and brings the system into a safe position. Combined with an integrated extinguishing solution, this creates a holistic approach to risk minimization.

We are also showcasing practical solutions in our vehicles themselves. These include the compact VARIOPRESS URBAN on a 2.20-meter narrow chassis with a 9 m³ body, specifically designed for use in tight urban environments. For construction site applications, we are also presenting a new VIAJET sweeper with an advanced sweeping unit and SideControl. Both components are patent-pending.

Together with Mercedes-Benz Trucks and 31 partners, we are also presenting the re.New VARIOPRESS concept vehicle based on the eEconic. The project represents a consistent approach toward circular economy. The vehicle is made from recycled materials and is itself part of the material cycle. The aim is to transfer sustainable material and production concepts into series production in the future.

Extending this sustainable approach, FAUN has also applied the highest sustainability standards to the implementation of its 1,500 m² exhibition stand and has been recognized by Messe München as a GoGreen Pioneer for IFAT.

Live demonstrations will take place daily at the VAK outdoor area, allowing visitors to experience the systems in real-life operation.

For us, IFAT 2026 is the platform to present concrete solutions that are already available today?for greater safety, more efficient processes, and a clear focus on the needs of drivers and operating personnel.
