The search for resilient raw material supply is opening new opportunities beyond primary production.

TRADIUM to Showcase New Approaches to Raw Material Supply at E-Waste World Conference & Expo

Frankfurt am Main, 16.06.2026 (PresseBox) - Growing geopolitical tensions, export restrictions, and increasing competition for critical raw materials are forcing industrial supply chains to adapt. At this year's E-Waste World Conference & Expo in Frankfurt, TRADIUM will present how refining can complement traditional sourcing strategies and contribute to a more resilient raw material supply. The company will be exhibiting at booth B90. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with experts from TRADIUM?s sales and trading teams to discuss current developments in strategic metals markets and the increasing importance of secondary raw material streams.

Rethinking raw material supply

"Access to primary raw materials is becoming increasingly challenging," says Jan Giese, Head of Sales & Trading at TRADIUM. "As a result, established suppliers like TRADIUM need to rethink how raw material supply can be secured in the future. One important element is connecting industrial consumers with qualified refining partners and alternative material streams. We increasingly see our role as a link between the processing industry and the refining sector, helping to turn secondary materials into reliable sources of supply."

The exhibition marks an important step in TRADIUM's efforts to expand its activities around refining and secondary raw materials. Building on its long-standing expertise in strategic metals, the company is developing new ways to connect industrial demand with available material sources beyond traditional primary production. Current areas of focus include selected rare earths, minor metals such as gallium and germanium and platinum group metals.

Germanium in focus: TRADIUM expert to speak at conference

As part of the conference program, Dr. Christian Hell, Senior Manager Germanium and Minor Metals at TRADIUM, will give the presentation "Germanium under Pressure: How Geopolitics and CRM Nationalism Challenge Recycling Pathways." The lecture will take place on June 17, from 15:25 to 15:45 at the Metal & Critical Raw Material Recycling Stage.

Dr. Hell will discuss how geopolitical developments, trade restrictions, and industrial policy measures are redefining the germanium landscape, with a particular focus on recycling pathways and the future of critical raw material supply chains.

Visitors can meet the TRADIUM team at booth B90 during the E-Waste World Conference & Expo on June 17?18, 2026 in Frankfurt.
