A strong sign of global responsibility and the protection of biological diversity

Logwin and Senckenberg present joint photo calendar ?One of a Kind?

Grevenmacher (Luxembourg), 04.11.2025 (PresseBox) - What connects an international logistics company with a traditional research institution for biodiversity and climate? A shared responsibility for our future. For the second time, Logwin AG and the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research are combining their expertise to realize an extraordinary calendar project.

Alliance for Diversity & Responsibility

The collaboration between Logwin and Senckenberg combines global logistics expertise with scientific excellence. It represents cross-sector cooperation between commercial enterprises and public research institutions with the common goal of taking responsibility, sharing knowledge and making an impact. The calendar is therefore more than just a publication: it is a visible commitment to shared values and active cooperation.

?As an internationally active company, we see it as our responsibility to promote sustainable action worldwide. Beyond our core business, we want to raise awareness of social and environmental issues. The cooperation with Senckenberg is a matter close to our hearts,? says Axel Steiner, member of the Executive Committee of Logwin AG.

Prof. Dr. Klement Tockner, Director General of the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research, also emphasises the importance of the project: ?With this calendar, we want to raise awareness of the unique beauty of nature and the threatened diversity of our planet. The support provided by companies such as Logwin shows how important it is to take joint responsibility. When research and business join forces, a strong alliance is created for the protection of nature ? as the most important basis of life for today and future generations.?

Unique & endangered

The ?One of a Kind? photo calendar is dedicated to a special facet of biological diversity: endemic species. These are animal and plant species that occur exclusively in a clearly defined location, often in geographically isolated regions or on individual islands. Due to the loss and destruction of their habitats, for example as a result of land use, urbanization or climate change, many of these unique creatures are coming under increasing pressure.

Expressive photographs, all taken by Senckenberg researchers on their travels, show these rare species in their natural habitats and are supplemented by concise background information from Senckenberg research. This creates an impressive overall picture: fascinating in appearance, vulnerable in terms of population and absolutely worthy of protection.

The images in this calendar will spark conversation in offices, break rooms, conference rooms and classrooms. ?One of a Kind? inspires and invites reflection on the value of diversity and the opportunities offered by shared global solutions.

About Senckenberg:

The Senckenberg Nature Research Society is an institution of the Leibniz Association and has been researching the ?Earth system? worldwide for over 200 years ? in the past, the present and with forecasts for the future. We conduct integrative ?geo-biodiversity research? with the aim of understanding nature in all its infinite diversity in order to preserve it as the basis of life for future generations and to use it sustainably. Senckenberg also communicates research results in a variety of ways, primarily in its three natural history museums in Frankfurt, Görlitz and Dresden. These are places of learning and wonder, and they serve as open platforms for dialogue between science and society ? inclusive, participatory and international.
