Hall 8, Stand 5F06: Belgian automation specialist demonstrates heavy-duty systems for indoor and outdoor operation

Movanis presents Titan and Taurus AGV platforms at LogiMAT 2026

HEUSDEN-ZOLDER, 12.12.2025 (PresseBox) - Hall 8, Stand 5F06

Movanis will present its Titan and Taurus AGV platforms at LogiMAT 2026 in Stuttgart. The Belgian company specializes in automated guided vehicles designed for industrial environments, with particular expertise in outdoor deployment and heavy-duty applications.

The company, which emerged from a research project in 2008, develops AGV systems that operate autonomously around the clock. Its technology serves customers in Belgium and across Europe, primarily in manufacturing and logistics operations where conventional automation reaches its limits.

Two platforms addressing different operational scales

Movanis will use the trade fair to demonstrate two distinct AGV concepts. The Titan is a counterbalanced vehicle engineered for loads that require substantial lifting capacity and extended transport distances. Its design targets environments where material flows involve heavy components or finished goods over longer routes within production facilities.

The Taurus takes a different approach. Compact and maneuverable, it handles palletized loads in operations characterized by high cycle frequency. The system scales across multiple units, which work in coordination using laser navigation and real-time obstacle detection.

Both platforms adapt to existing infrastructure. Movanis designs its vehicles to operate within a customer's current layout rather than requiring floor modifications or guidance rails.

Outdoor capability built on proprietary control algorithms

What sets Movanis apart in the AGV market is its focus on outdoor operation. The company has developed control algorithms that compensate for surface irregularities, gradients, and weather exposure?conditions that pose challenges for standard AGV technology.

These capabilities are not theoretical. Movanis systems currently handle outdoor transport tasks in active production environments, moving materials between buildings and across loading yards regardless of weather conditions. The technology addresses a specific gap: many companies have indoor automation but still rely on manual handling for inter-building logistics.

Battery systems designed for continuous operation

Movanis equips its AGVs with lithium titanate oxide battery technology developed in-house. The systems charge fully in 12 minutes, which allows vehicles to top up during brief operational pauses rather than requiring dedicated charging periods.

The charging process runs automatically when vehicles dock at designated stations. Battery performance remains stable over time, and the approach eliminates shift-based battery swaps?a common maintenance requirement in traditional AGV fleets.

Project delivery from workflow study to ongoing support

The company handles AGV projects from initial analysis through long-term operation. Each implementation begins with workflow documentation and requirements mapping, followed by ROI modeling and technical specification. Movanis then manages mechanical and electrical engineering, software configuration, site installation, and operator training.

Support continues after commissioning, with performance monitoring and system adjustments as operational needs evolve.

"We engineer AGV systems around what customers actually need to move, where they need to move it, and under what conditions," says Bart Clymans, General Manager at Movanis. "Titan and Taurus represent proven approaches to problems we see regularly?heavy loads, tight spaces, outdoor exposure. LogiMAT gives us the chance to show how these platforms perform in real industrial contexts."
