BDF EXPERTS hosts a stop on SAP?s PLM Roadshow 2027
Düsseldorf / Walldorf, Germany, 20.10.2026 (PresseBox) - Event for user companies in machinery and plant engineering on 28 January 2027: keynote by Hochschule Düsseldorf, user reports from Uhlmann Pac-Systeme and Scheuch, guided tour of SAP?s S-Factory. Registration now open, 30 places, free of charge.
BDF EXPERTS, SAP Silver Partner and specialist in Digital Supply Chain, is hosting a stop on SAP?s PLM Roadshow 2027 together with SAP on 28 January 2027. The event takes place at Cloud44 at SAP in Walldorf and is aimed at user companies in machinery and plant engineering. The central question is how companies can map highly variant products, from configure-to-order (CTO) to CTO+, in a structured way in SAP using SAP Product and Process Governance (SAP PPG). Participation is free of charge. Registration is now open at bdfexperts.de/events/saps-plm-roadshow-2027; the registration deadline is 11 December 2026.
Product variants, short-notice changes and special requests from sales are part of everyday business in machinery and plant engineering. Whether this results in an end-to-end process or a chain of manual rework is decided by the product structure in the ERP system. Drawing on user reports, the roadshow shows how companies build this structure with SAP PPG and what changes as a result in engineering, order processing and production.
The programme at a glance:
Keynote: Prof. Dr Lisa Gunnemann, Hochschule Düsseldorf [add title once confirmed]
SAP PPG in practice: Dr Ulrich Schmidt, BDF EXPERTS, shows the path from CTO to CTO+ based on a clean product data structure
User reports: Sebastian Barth, Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, and Oliver Meinhart, Scheuch GmbH, report on hands-on experience from their companies [align key messages with speakers]
S-Factory: guided tour of SAP?s S-Factory in Walldorf
Closing session: key takeaways and questions to all speakers
Doors open at 9:00 a.m. The programme runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by an opportunity for networking until around 5:00 p.m.
?In machinery and plant engineering, complexity rarely stems from the product itself, but from the data behind it. With the roadshow, we use concrete projects to show how user companies can build their product structure in SAP so that variants remain manageable,? says Dr Ulrich Schmidt, Managing Director at BDF EXPERTS.
Attendance is limited to 30 guests. Each registration is confirmed personally; priority is given to user companies from machinery and plant engineering. Programme and registration: bdfexperts.de/events/saps-plm-roadshow-2027. Venue: SAP SE, Dietmar-Hopp-Allee 16, 69190 Walldorf, Germany.
